It is also called a little lion dog as the French called Petite Chien Lion.
They have existed since 400 years in the period of Pre-Renaissance
Europe in the area of Germany or the Mediterranean.
What was unique at the time, these dogs were used as
foot warmers and comfortable.
A part of their body would be shaved off so the
Pre-Renaissance ladies could warm their feet.

Komondor was originated from Hungary. This breed is muscular and dominant; characters that are useful to tend sheeps. One very obvious and interesting look about this dog is dreadlocks hair.
On Komondor, their hair is called cord. After baths, their cords have be toweled dry as much as possible, then allowed to air dry. This drying process can take two to three days.

Komondor is a brave dog. They would fight and overcome animals
that attack the flocks, even the attackers are wolves and bears.
They can independently protect their herd; staying outside in
any weather for days in a row.

 In general, Japanese Chin is quite and calm but
they can easily be trained into a performing dog.
They do a famous 'chin spin' in which they spin around
verociously, dancing standing up and even making 'singing' sound.

Japanese Chin is a unique breed because they behave like a feline. They do wash and wipe their face with their paws. They are also very nimble. Like a cat, they can move around without knocking into anything.
Most of all, they like to lay around on higher places such as backs of sofas and mantels.

If the expression said 'fighting like dogs and cats', you are misled
with this breed. They can form brotherly love with the felines
when they are raised together.
They shared the same habit of cleanliness.

This hound is quite and polite.
Ibizan Hounds are gentle, sensitive and
sensible as if they are victorian ladies.
Similar to those ladies, they blush
when they get excited.

This curious dog loves to sit up high on a chair to
observe what is going on.
They have a long reputation of being circus dogs.

French bulldogs were first breed to be used as lap dog. So, don't expect these doggies to work hard but do pamper them. The original generation was used to walk among the wealthy French. They are orderly and love clean environment (Guess, they are used to the upper class way of life*)

They are very patient and playful.
However, these dogs don't like to be teased

This English cocker Spaniel is originally from Spain. They are different from the American Cocker Spaniel. Don't be fooled with their 'melt your heart' look, these dogs are intense workers. They can hunt into really dense bushes.

Dachshund are surprisingly full of stamina. They are also very curious dogs.
Because of their size, keen sense of smell and curiousity, they are useful to hunt small animals in
the bushes and holes such as rabbits, badgers, groundhogs, etc.

Dachshunds love to chase small animals, birds and tennis balls.
They loud quite loud and are energetic.
This breed has three typical coat styles, smooth (really short hair),
wire-hair and long hair.
They are difficult to train because stubborn is one of their traits.

Chihuahua was named after one of Mexico's states -
state ChiHuaHua. They are the smallest dog breed but
despite their size, they are very aggressive. Because of
this trait, they are unfortunately not suitable for children.

They are in general hyper and eager to please.

Basset Hound was originated from France. These dogs were very popular to hunters during the time of Emperor Napoleon. A Basset Hound, first, came to America brought by Marquis de Lafayette, a wealthy Frenchman, as a gift to President George Washington.

Eskie as American Eskimo is known for is excellent for children.  They are not only charming and playful, they are also one of the most intelligent dog breed. They love companion and attention seekers.

During the 19th century in America, American Eskimo dogs traveled the land performing many trick-dog acts. Their fur coat till now is usually pure white but it sheds a lot so they need to be combed and bathed regulary.

Spending a day at the pool

The temperature is high today
People are looking for ways to freshen up

Donnatella, the poodle, at a Bistro

Donnatella, the poodle, spent an afternoon with her friends.
With the sun out and about, Donnatella just needs to be out
getting ice cream at her favorite place, Mama's bistro.
Their ice cream is so velvety; every scoop
into her mouth slided through her throat.
Time spent with friends was always precious and full of laughters.
She loved to make new friends.

It is a going to be a good day
Today is Sunday
Fritz is going to the bay

He is running on the sand
around and round the beautiful land
Pretty shells are lying everywhere
Crabs are crawling in pairs

Fish and seals swim in the sea
Fritz and friends enjoy the scenery
Boats and ships sail in and out
People abroad are laughing aloud

C for ChiHuaHua

As spotted in our several previous blogs, let us introduce our chi hua hua, Fritz. He is a dynamite little guy. He loves to pose in front of the camera, hence, explaining why he is always present in any topics we discuss. He always finds himself in the center of the party and loves to dance silly moves. Do you hear the 'old MacDonald's' song in the back? If you could only see, Fritz is doing his silly moves.
So, just imagine and let's dance silly moves together.

I like to play all kinds of games
One special game is sport

Tennis, Badminton, Ping Pong
I enjoy them with a few friends

Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball
are played when I am with a group of people
Golf, billiard, bowling are games less rigorous

All games are interesting and exciting
Sweating or not, my heart is pumping
Every one of them never fails to make me feel good
Naturally, my body is healthier after each play

Boys and girls mostly are a fan

It comes in many colors and texture
It is a simple game and it is simply in many many games
